Cruise stopover in Valencia
How to exit the cruise port in Valencia
During your stopover in Valencia, cruise lines can offer you a bus to get to the city center for 12.90 euros per person.
However, let me give you some wise advice: avoid these tickets, because you can get to the same place as us (the city center, where you would pay 12.90 euros if you take the tickets on the boat) for only 1.50 euros one way, or 3 euros round trip (pay directly on the bus).
It’s really simple:
When you disembark from the boat, you will see free shuttles chartered by the port, recognizable by their orange color. They will take you to the exit of the port. There, you just have to walk for 2 minutes (really in 2 minutes) following the blue arrows on the ground ➡️ which will lead you to the bus.
How to get from the port of Valencia to the city center?
→ If you want to explore the city center to visit the central mercado, the cathedral, etc., take bus number 4, just a two-minute walk from the port. The journey takes around 15 to 20 minutes, and you get off at the Ayuntamiento or Plaça de la Reina stop (they follow each other).
→ For a stroll in the superb Turia gardens, which I highly recommend, instead of taking bus 4, take bus 95 towards Turia. It’s the same price and it’s taken in the same place as 4. It’s truly an experience not to be missed!😍
When you return, take these same buses that will take you to the cruise port and take the free orange shuttle back to get on the ship! There you have it, by following these tips, you will visit the same places for much less money.😝
If you are traveling in a group, I highly recommend taking the Bonobus card: 10 journeys for 10 euros.
You can also opt for the Hop on Hop off service in Valencia, for only 22 euros. I book my ticket for the tourist bus .
