How to get to the port of Marseille from the airport?
Marseille-Provence Airport (MRS) is located approximately 25 kilometers from the Marseille cruise port. There are several options to reach these two destinations, each with its advantages and disadvantages.
By public transport
For an economical option, choose public transport . Take * line 91 towards Saint Charles station (30/40 min journey), then take the metro and get off at the Joliette stop (duration 2 min). Then take bus number 35 T to the cruise port (Gate 4), “Terminal Croisières” stop. Allow approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes for the journey.
- Please note, having done this route several times for financial reasons in the past, be prepared to walk a distance of 2.5 km to cross the port and reach the check-in point. If you have just one suitcase it’s fine, but two hello damage…
Line 91 Marseille Airport → Saint Charles Station
- Timetable – Departures every 10 minutes from 7:55 a.m. to 8:15 p.m.
- Prices – Adult €10 – 12/25 years old €7 – Under 11 years old €5.
In taxi
Taxi is a faster and more comfortable way to travel, but it is also more expensive as is the private transfer. The journey takes about 30 minutes and costs about 60/70 euros. This rate is an estimate, we have already paid more when there was traffic and Marseille without traffic is like eating a pain au chocolat without chocolate!😂
Private transfer (→ 7 people)
If you are a large family or a group of friends with suitcases, I can recommend this private transfer. If you were planning to take a taxi, knowing that at 7 it’s always a hassle, a new service has emerged.
